Let’s start with this prop. In no way should it be set at 1.5. Lane Thomas leads the MLB in batting average against LHP with over 100 at-bats. He’s hitting .368 with the most hits and most runs. Yes, ahead of hitters like Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, and surging Cody Bellinger. This prop being set at 1.5 would make sense if he was facing off against an elite arm. Well, he’s not. He’ll be opposed by southpaw Austin Gomber who’s allowing an average of six hits per start with an xBA that ranks in the fourth percentile.
This market is heavily juiced because of all the outs.
