The Miami Heat put forth an absolutely pathetic effort on Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. I mean, watching them just break like a table at a Buffalo Bills tailgate party down the stretch was absolutely sickening. I’m embarrassed FOR THEM.
We’re making a same-game parlay to be the first part of our NBA parlay today, and it’s Jaylen Brown 20+ points and Celtics moneyline.
Yep, fresh off the heels of a horrible loss against the Grizz, the Heat welcome the Boston Celtics to South Beach. You know, that best-team-in-the-league Boston Celtics team.
Jaylen Brown has scored 26+ points in six straight games against the Miami Heat, including a 27-point outing against them earlier this season. And, the Heat give up the sixth-most points to opposing shooting guards this season. I’m firing this one up with pretty good confidence.
And the Celtics moneyline? Well, the Heat have failed to score 100 points in five of their last seven games, and now they have to play the Celtics and their second-ranked defensive rating. The C’s are winning this game.
Nuggets ML vs Knicks (NBA Betting Pick)
The Nuggets are only 2.5-point favorites right now against the New York Knicks.
Now, I respect what the Knicks have been doing lately, but this feels like the markets have made a STRONG overreaction to the Knicks’ recent 10-2 run — and probably the “Nuggets are bad on the road” narrative as well.
However, that 10-2 run has been littered with wins over mediocre or bad teams, but does include wins over Minnesota and Philly.
That said, I’m not FULLY sold on this Knicks team being ready to take that next step to topple the Nuggets, which is why I’m taking the Denver moneyline.
New York could be without Isaiah Hartenstein again tonight — he’s currently questionable with an ACHILLES injury. I’m no doctor, but Achilles injuries sound, y’know, kinda bad.
If that’s the case, the Knicks will have no way of stopping Nikola Jokic down low, and this feels like a spot we have to hammer the Nuggets moneyline.
Lauri Markkanen 20+ PTS & Collin Sexton o5.5 AST (NBA Player Props)
For the final part of our NBA parlay today, we’re going to make another little same-game parlay and targeting the Washington Wizards.
We’re rocking with Lauri Markkanen 20+ points and Collin Sexton over 5.5 assists.
This game features two of the 10 fastest teams in the NBA, so we should see a game with a TON of pace. And with pace comes scoring chances and points.
Prior to being blown out last game by the Pelicans, Lauri had scored 20+ points in eight straight games, and nine of his last 10. The Wizards allow opposing power forwards to score 25 points per game this season, and I don’t know who on this team will defend Lauri.
Now, the other part of this parlay is a bit of a correlation play. If we think there’s going to be some pace, and this game gets up and down, there should be plenty of scoring opportunities, which means ample assist opportunities.
So, that’s why we have Sexton going OVER on assists tonight. He’s been running the show for the Jazz lately and has gone over the 5.5 number in two of his last three games. And, over the course of his last SIX games, he’s finished with 7 twice, and 5 in the other four games. So, he’s RIGHT THERE in every game.
Obviously, the matchup against the Wizards is a good one, which leads me to believe this should be an over spot for him. After all, the Wizards allow the most assists per game to opposing point guards this season — 10 per game.
